Every ticket sold supports my favorite charity, Cancer For College, and helps a cancer survivor realize their dream of a college education. Plus, you'll get to taste beer from nearly 100 of the West Coast’s craft breweries, enjoy the sweet sounds of local bands and possibly enjoy a sensible lunch from our food truck alley. To re-cap: You. Beer. Music. Food trucks. Embarcadero Marina Park South. The whole shebang. There is no physical way in the universe you can enjoy a day better than this. We've done the research. THE CAUSE
Cancer for College was founded in 1993 by one of my best friends, two-time cancer survivor and double-amputee Craig Pollard.
Craig saw first hand the physical, emotional and financial devastation that cancer can have on a family. Families dealing with cancer often exhaust every last resource in the process of returning their child to health. This battle can leave nothing left for the survivor for things such as a college education.
Cancer for College provides hope and inspiration to cancer survivors by granting college scholarships. Since inception, the charity has granted nearly $2 million in scholarships to more than one thousand survivors from around the country.
We love the kiddos but let’s be honest, a beer festival should really be for those of legal age. So get a sitter because you must be 21 years of age or older with a valid ID to enter Best Coast Beer Fest.

Without the sweet, sweet nectar they produce, we wouldn’t be the moment the whole world has been waiting for… the most prolific event to happen to all of San Diego. We’d just be a hot, sweaty mess of an event with no booze to sippity, sip, sip.
